Highlands Organic

One of BoaVida’s strongest partnerships is with the Tanzanian farmer Frank Amos Msigwa, owner of Highlands Organic. Highlands Organic is a private agriculture company specialized in horticultural organic products located in Mgala village, Njombe district.

Frank is part of NSHDA, a group of 5,000 farmers that mostly produces organic avocados in the Southern Highlands of Tanzania, he owns an organic agroforestry farm in Tanzania. BoaVida has assisted him with a financial investment which has enabled Frank to grow his business.  Since the investment Frank has been able to get his farm organic certified, he has built a packing- and production house to handle honey, avocados and pumpkin seeds and is growing chilli for export and domestic market.

BoaVida is linking Frank’s and Highlands Organic products to the Danish and the international market, which allows them to secure a fair price and better business. BoaVida is extremely proud of the collaboration with Frank, especially proud of the positive impact in the local community around the farm where Frank creates local jobs with good working conditions and fair salaries.⁠
